  • About the Role

    Working in our established Dispute Resolution team in Swindon you will be provide an important link between the client and the firm. With responsibility of earning fees by carrying out Debt Recovery services and other technical legal work under supervision. You will also carry out administrative work with responsibility for file and data management.


    Duties will include: 

    • Screening new enquiries coming into the team, obtaining initial documentation and information as appropriate, providing pricing options and arranging appointments with the team and clients
    • Conducting uncontested Debt Recovery matters under supervision
    • Undertaking all file opening, closing and recording/diarising key date and other administrative duties as requested
    • Manage aspects of files managed by qualified lawyers and undertake routine legal tasks, under supervision
    • Draft legal documents using appropriate precedents and templates which address all relevant legal and factual issues and accurately reflect the client’s instructions
    • Undertake effective legal research, using appropriate methods and sourcing, presenting the results accurately and clearly
    • Provide support for business development and marketing activities including preparing and researching marketing materials and writing articles and blogs where requested
    • Attend Royds Withy King BD events where appropriate to provide support and to build a network of business and client relationships
    • Take an active part in promoting the firm through Social media channels such as Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook
    • Provide legal support to designated fee earners and act as a legal resource for the wider team, providing help where required
    • Ensure all work complies with risk management policies and procedures, including effective use of information management systems including storing and retrieving information


    About You


    Skills & Experience:

    • Legal qualifications (LLB or cILEX). LPC is desirable
    • Previous experience within a Paralegal role in a litigation department is desriable 
    • Excellent organisational capability with excellent attention to detail
    • Client service focused
    • Ability to undertake legal work under supervision
