  • About the Role

    This an exciting opportunity join an accomplished real estate team with experience working on residential development for both landowners and developers. The team also often advises charities, healthcare groups and retail clients on their property needs and are able to advise on the property aspects of corporate transactions.

     

    This role will involve earning fees by carrying out legal work under supervision and supporting the team by carrying out administrative work where required. To actively participate in marketing the department’s services and undertake business development activities when required.

     

    Duties will include: 

    • Manage aspects of files managed by qualified lawyers and undertake routine legal tasks, under supervision
    • Under take legal processes, under supervision.
    • Draft legal documents using appropriate precedents and templates which address all relevant legal and factual issues and accurately reflect the client’s instructions
    • Undertake effective legal research, using appropriate methods and sourcing, presenting the results accurately and clearly
    • Provide support for business development and marketing activities including preparing and researching marketing materials and writing articles and blogs where requested
    • Attend Royds Withy King BD events where appropriate to provide support and to build a network of business and client relationships
    • Take an active part in promoting the firm through Social media channels such as Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook
    • Provide legal support to designated fee earners and act as a legal resource for the wider team, providing help where required
    • Ensure all work complies with risk management policies and procedures, including effective use of information management systems including storing and retrieving information

     

    About You

     

    Skills & Experience:

    • Legal qualifications (LLB or cILEX). LPC is desirable
    • Previous experience within a Paralegal role in real estate department preferred
    • Excellent organisational capability with excellent attention to detail
    • Client service focused
    • Ability to undertake legal work under supervision

    The successful applicant will be subject to pre-employment screening including a DBS (Criminal Background) check.
