  • About the Role

    As a Legal Assistant in the Compensation Trusts & Deputyship team you will provide an important link between clients and the firm, having responsibility for aspects of file management, under supervision. The Compensation Trusts & Deputyship team work closely with our Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury teams and deal with the day-to-day general management of Court of Protection and Personal Injury Trust clients, many of whom will have received large damages awards. The team liaises closely with professional deputies/trustees, case managers, and therapists to ensure a holistic approach to the management of the client’s finances and lives.


    Duties will include: 

    • Managing aspects of files managed by qualified lawyers and carrying out simple routine tasks, under supervision
    • Under taking processes, under supervision, such as producing letters, processing payments, pulling together excel spreadsheets and general administration
    • All administrative duties including payroll for support workers employed by clients
    • The opportunity to attend Royds Withy King Business Development events where appropriate to provide support and assist in building a network of business and client relationships
    • Ensuring all work complies with risk management policies and procedures, including effective use of information management systems including storing and retrieving information

    • Previous experience within a Paralegal or Legal Assistant role would be advantageous

    The successful applicant will be subject to pre-employment screening including a DBS (Criminal Background) check.
