  • About the Role

    As a Credit Controller in our tight-knit and friendly Finance team you will ensure the smooth running of the credit control process by reducing debtor days, supporting internal clients on financial related matters and helping to improve the cash flow position of the firm.

     

    Key responsibilities

    • Ensuring daily reminders are sent to clients
    • Liaising with fee earners across the Firm to ensure you have the correct files and information for chasing/reminding external clients
    • Creating monthly reports on the debt position of each department within the Firm and communicating results to senior management
    • Producing statements of accounts to external clients and responding to any requests
    • Issuing proceedings against clients, in the form of, attachments of earnings or charging orders
    • Regularly making telephone calls to Client’s to recover outstanding invoices

    About You

    Skills & Experience:

    • Credit Control qualifications are desirable but not essential
    • An understanding of the Credit Control process is essential
    • Previous experience of working in a similar role ideally in a professional services environment
    • Minimum of 5 GCSEs, A-C including English and Maths
    • Excellent organisational skills with ability to manage a busy workload
    • Great attention to detail
    • Good written and verbal communication skills
    • Focused on delivering excellent client service
