  • About the Role

     

     

    Our virtual Health & Social Care Team advises social care providers, GP practices, pharmacies and dentists on all aspects of running a business including sales and acquisitions, commercial contracts, regulatory issues, employment and property.

     

    We are seeking an experienced corporate and commercial Solicitor to work closely with the Health & social care lead Hazel Phillips to deliver a high standard of legal advice to clients in a commercially astute manner, delivering outstanding client service at all times. You will assist with the marketing of the department’s services and undertaking business development activities to build on the firm and team’s reputation for excellence. Duties will include:

     

    • Manage a caseload of corporate and commercial files, under supervision, dealing effectively with cases and transactions predominantly within the health & social care sector
    • Manage time recording, WIP monitoring and billing consistently, meeting targets and objectives set
    • Deal directly with client to take instructions and ensures full understanding in order to deliver on client expectations
    • Proactively support the business development initiatives within the team and sector including

      • Research and draft article and blogs and assists with the production of marketing materials

      • Begin to develop a network of clients, contacts and potential referrers and

      • Attend events, seminars and conferences

    • Encourage juniors/ trainees and gives feedback to assist their learning, effectively delegating tasks where appropriate

    • Understands, learns and applies all business processes applicable to own work learning new processes as required

     

     

     

     

    About You

     

    Skills & Experience:

    • Qualified Solicitor
    • Experience within corporate & commercial law is essential.
    • Experience and understanding of the health & social care sector is desirable. An interest in specialising in this sector is essential
    • Ability to manage own files with minimal supervision.
    • Strong client management skills with a focus on delivery of excellent client service.
    • Organised and able to effectively prioritise.
