About the Role


We are looking for a Legal Administration Assistant to join our Private Client team in Oxford on a 6 month contract to support the team with streamlining administration proceses.


You will provide an efficient and effective administrative support to the Private Client team, to ensure the department functions effectively and to enable the department to achieve its objectives. To ensure that work done by the department complies with internal quality standards and external requirements.


Duties will include:


  • Manage an administrative workload under the guidance of a fee earner
  • Provide administrative support to fee earners including scanning, filing/ archiving, photocopying, file-opening, telephone management, audio-typing, and dealing with post

  • Draft documents and bills, from instruction using appropriate precedents and templates to accurately reflect fee earner instructions

  • Act as an administrative resource for the team, providing help where required
  • Learn firm policies and business processes, ensuring compliance particularly with regards to confidentiality, security , data protection and file retention and destruction requirements
  • Ensure adherence to all affiliations and standards connected to the department



About You

Skills & Experience: 

  • Previous experience in a administrative role is desirable
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs, A-C including English and Maths
  • Legal qualifications are desirable
  • Excellent organisational skills with ability to manage a busy workload
  • Focused on delivering excellent client service
  • You must be available on short notice for a 6 month contract
